Ragan's Arcade

Ragan’s Arcade at 204 Main Street in Dickson still looks much like it did when it served the community as Dickson Theater from the later 1940s until the early 1960s. The interior was repurposed in the 1960s and the building has since served as home to numerous local businesses like Ragan’s Five Rivers Realty, Scott’s Computers, Debbie’s Tax and Bookkeeping Service, Dream World Travel, Shoesaver Shoe and Boot Repair, Senior Moments Healthcare, Whiteway Barber Shop, Title Searcher, U.S. Health Insurance, R.A. Denny’s Construction, Michael Meise, Attorney at Law, New York Life Insurance and many more.

Plan a Visit

Stop by and snap a photo of the historic exterior or drop into one of the businesses that serve Dickson. You’ll also find Ragan’s Friendly Neighborhood Store next door. For more than 50 years, Ragan’s Friendly Neighborhood Store has been family owned and operated, providing Frigidaire appliances and a great selection of affordable furniture, bedding and appliance parts to the Dickson community. They’re also happy to make special orders if you are unable to find what you’re looking for in the store.

At Ragan’s Friendly Neighborhood Store, you’ll also have another opportunity to step back in time, as you’ll find their walls filled with photographs showing how Dickson has changed over the last century.

Every Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m., you can hear their radio broadcast on WDKN 1260 AM. The radio show serves the community with announcements, history lessons, death notices and they’ll mix in a little old-time gospel and perform skits, too.
