Are you always looking for new flavors and fun experiences? Do you skip right over the wine and beer menus at restaurants and bars to see what the creative bartenders have dreamed up? If you’re a cocktail enthusiast, you’re going to love tasting your way through the history of these mixed drinks at the Nashville Cocktail Festival, April 23-28. There are so many ways to participate!
The Art Deco Party is the most fun way to spend your Friday night. On Friday April 26 from 7 to 10 p.m., enjoy this event at Pavilion East. The Art Deco Party is designed to celebrate the creativity of American cocktails, tracing their roots all the way back to the international work many American bartenders did during Prohibition.
On Saturday afternoon, head to the Polynesian Pop Tiki Extravaganza from noon to 3 p.m. This event will be at Pavilion East, too. You’ll have a chance to try island-inspired cocktails with outlandish garnishes made popular by mid-century fascinations with South Pacific style.
Finish out the weekend with a brunch-focused event at Diskin Cider. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, learn all about handmade cider and the sparkling cocktails that can be made using cider. You might be surprised by what you learn and taste!

While these are the three biggest parties of the Nashville Cocktail Festival, there’s a whole lot more to enjoy throughout the week!
Check out David Wondrich’s Punch Out Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Stay Golden in East Nashville. This bartender’s competition gives attendees a chance to sip from punch bowls mixed by different bartenders.
Or enjoy a dinner that’s all about bourbon on Thursday, April 25. America’s Bourbon Journey will take place at Husk at 6:30. Beth Burrows, Jim Beam’s Kentucky Bourbon Ambassador, will walk guests through the 224-year history of the Jim Beam family legacy and a discussion of how major events in American history shaped the business.
You should always make sure you have a safe way to get to and from these events. Make sure there’s room for your whole crew with a great new vehicle from Alexander Chevrolet Buick GMC in Dickson, Tennessee. Your designated driver will love your new ride as much as you do!
